River of Joy Lutheran Church is a group of ordinary people who have been gathered into a new faith community to serve in the world and be transformed together through Jesus Christ. We worship casually, take service seriously, and go deep spiritually and scripturally.
It’s like a mission trip in our own backyard as we seek to have an impact in our own communities and grow and develop as people along the way.
Anyone ever tell you they were sorry they went on a mission trip? Not us either! Best of all, there is an open invitation to anyone who would like to jump in and join us.
Our promise to you is that we will find a way to link your passions and interests to God. Want to swing a hammer? Sing a song? Work with kids? Be artistic? Work with the elderly? Study? Write? Cook? Shoot photos or video? Tend a garden? Surf the web? Coach a team?
You name it, we will find a way to put it to work in God’s world in a way that will make a difference. Check out some of what we are up to in the pages on the left of this page.
Unless noted otherwise on our calendar or the worship page above, we worship together in an old converted schoolhouse in Lydia, MN, a blink and you’ll miss it little town 6 miles south of Prior Lake on Hwy 13. Bring a lawn chair when you come during the summer as we worship outside if the weather cooperates. Click here for a map to join us for worship.
