River of Joy at work
We act as a community of faith. We collaborate and join resources of time, money, and energy in order to make a difference in each other’s lives and in the world. Properly conceived, our actions should flow out of our strategies and rest comfortably within the framework of our guiding principles. This is our opportunity as a community of faith to express our creativity as we engage the world in areas we think are important. We look to act out of our strengths, our passions, our interests, and our personal stories to plan our actions.
As members of the River of Joy community, we may find ourselves swinging a hammer for Christ, cooking a meal in our own kitchen, or coloring a picture during worship. Our actions spring out of having Jesus as the center of our community and point toward him as central to a thriving life in our community.
